Our founder, Jan Barrick, was the featured speaker at Rotary Club of Oklahoma City's Club 29 breakfast meeting on January 9th.
Jan will be speaking about "How Oklahoma Can be a Top Ten State for Education" at 7 a.m. at Ingrid's Kitchen, 3701 N. Youngs, in Oklahoma City.
Jan is proud to be an active Rotarian with a deep love for her community and state.
Our CEO, Jan Barrick's column in The Oklahoman: "The crux of the matter is simple. We can have the best standards ever written, but if they aren’t being used, nothing changes. When students use textbooks written for Common Core, they are not prepared for the questions that will be asked by the state of Oklahoma in the spring."

Our own Wendy Pratt got certified today —not as a teacher but as a certified number cruncher! Thanks to CCOSA-OSDE team for the update for school data nerds on how to calculate the Oklahoma School Report Cards, which hit SSO for district review on MONDAY.
