Last week, parents and teachers across our state received initial test scores from the Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP). OSTP scores are the end result of months of class work designed to improve student skills in the areas of Math, Reading and Science.
These tests are meant to serve as a guide for schools and parents whose ultimate goal is to support career and college readiness. The results can provide a roadmap for student success.
Here are three things parents should consider when reviewing their child’s OSTP score:
JENKS, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma Association of School Administrators named Dr. Stacey Butterfield as the 2019 Superintendent of the Year at the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration Summer Leadership Conference on Wednesday.
"I am extremely humbled to receive this award, and I am incredibly grateful to CCOSA and OASA for all they do to support school administrators,” said Dr. Butterfield, who has been Superintendent at Jenks Public Schools since 2013.
“It is an honor to represent my colleagues from around the state who work tirelessly to advocate for public education here in Oklahoma.
We had our annual pre-CCOSA Summer Conference meeting tonight w/members of our Advisory Bd - including school leaders at 2 Nat'l Blue Ribbon Schools - to evaluate 2018-19 & plan for 2019-20. Attached is a list.
