Thirty-three schools make the Honor Roll based on the Oklahoma School Report Cards for 2022
OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2022 Alpha Plus Honor Roll is finally available with the addition of the 2022 Oklahoma School Report Cards scores and letter grades last week on a platform hosted by the State Department of Education at https://www.oklaschools.com.
Thirty-three schools that use the Alpha Plus Model of School Improvement received A or B grades compared to 26 on the honor roll in 2019 (the most recent state report cards available). All Alpha Plus Partner Schools getting “A” grades from the state either improved or maintained the grade over the last three school years. Some schools such as Balko, Bennington, Flower Mound and Geronimo have used Alpha Plus tools for more than five years; others such as Fargo-Gage, Morrison, and Roff have been trained in the model over the last couple of years.
At an Instructional Leader Professional Development meeting in February, Alpha Plus professionals met with Oklahoma educators from Barnsdall Elementary School. We thank the leaders who joined us for this workshop. Pictured are (from left to right) Alpha Plus CEO Jan Barrick, Principal Leasa Marshall, April Cole, and Ryan McCloud.
Alpha Plus Professional Development is data-driven and job-embedded. We help train Oklahoma educators on using Alpha Plus common formative and summative benchmark assessments to help identify students' learning gaps in alignment with the Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS).

We are SO PROUD that we couldn’t wait to go through all 2022 state-test data before we say CONGRATULATIONS to CALUMET Elementary School!
According to Oklahoma Watch, at least 90 percent of third-grade students scored proficient in mathematics at CALUMET, which ranks #1 for schools that have enough students for the score NOT to be redacted by the state (noted by * in picture).
Calumet has used Alpha Plus OAS-aligned interim assessments for mathematics since 2019.

Students, Teachers Honored for Success with the
Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS) in 2021-22
Oklahoma’s only data-driven educator awards are back after taking a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic years, according to Alpha Plus CEO Jan Barrick. The “Success with OAS Awards” for 2022 honor students and educators for their progress in teaching and learning the Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS) in mathematics and English language arts (ELA). Forty-eight Alpha Plus Model Teachers were notified of the awards today.
We Use Data to Help Schools on the Way to an A!
Teachers and administrators can quickly and easily identify students who need more help learning the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
Alpha Plus pinpoints the SPECIFIC OAS objectives or "gaps" students have from previous years, then helps school teams address each objective throughout the year.
That is why Alpha Plus schools have OUTPERFORMED the state average every year of the A-F Report Cards.
