ALPHA PLUS TIP

Help students prove they learned what you taught!

As teachers using the Alpha Plus Model prepare to administer Summative B for their midyear benchmark, we want to remind all that this is a good opportunity to use our simulated state test to teach expected test-taking procedures as well as strategies for determining the best answer to any assessment question.

Download a PDF of our Test-Taking Procedures and Strategies packet that includes student worksheets for reading/ELA and math.  Call Alpha Plus at (405) 842-8408, if you have questions about how to help your students prove they learned what you taught them!

CONGRATULATIONS Carnegie and Flower Mound - new Blue Ribbon Schools!

CONGRATULATIONS to two Alpha Plus Schools -- Carnegie Elementary School in Caddo County and Flower Mound Elementary School in Comanche County -- for being selected as National Blue Ribbon Schools.  These join previous honorees that continue using Alpha Plus tools: Central High (BRS 2012-13) and Bishop (BRS 2010-11).

Both schools qualified for the "Exemplary High Performing Schools" award because they have excelled in state test scores while at least 40% of students are economically disadvantaged. They are among 285 public and 50 private schools that will be honored in ceremonies on Nov. 9-10 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
