Alpha Plus is growing to meet the needs of Oklahoma schools. This year we added specialists in Early Literacy, the Science of Reading, and both remedial and advanced Mathematics, and their work shows in six new and revised releases now available for the 2026–27 school year.
New for 2026–27: Now Available
5th Grade Science (NEW). Our first OAS-aligned Science textbook, created at the request of partner schools. It comes with a comprehensive teacher guide and aligns directly with our existing 5th Grade Science online formative and summative assessments. View sample
Kindergarten ELA (NEW). The first phase of a multi-volume, OAS-aligned Kindergarten workbook series. This release focuses on phonics, phonological awareness, and foundational literacy skills. View sample
Kindergarten Math Formatives (NEW). Developmentally appropriate assessments designed for young learners, combining oral, performance-based tasks with digital multiple-choice questions.
Math Advantage, 5th Grade (NEW). Our first grade-specific remediation and extension curriculum, built to help schools meet the requirements of the Math Achievement and Proficiency Act. It includes:
- A student workbook
- Small-group instructional materials that build foundational math understanding
- A comprehensive teacher guide with reteaching and extension activities
Pre-Algebra (formerly Math 8). Our Math 8 curriculum has been substantially reworked and renamed to align more closely with the OAS Math standards. View sample
ELA 2 (ENHANCED). Based on partner school feedback, 2nd Grade ELA now fully blends phonics and reading instruction, just like our 1st Grade ELA. It includes a two-volume student textbook set and a three-volume teacher guide set, one volume of which is dedicated to phonological awareness. View sample
Alpha Plus Online: What’s New This Year
We continue to upgrade our online platform to better support students, teachers, and administrators.
- Interactive lessons. Teachers can send guided, independent, and continuous practice assignments to the student portal. Multiple-choice questions are graded automatically, and teachers can review and mark open-ended answers.
- Clever SecureSync and OneRoster. Rostering integration is now live for the 2026–27 school year. Learn more
- Printable pacing calendars. Teachers can generate and print personalized pacing plans based on the assignments and goals they set in the platform.
- Redesigned K–2 assessments. A more developmentally appropriate format starts young students with fewer answer choices and builds them up to four.
- Texas Instruments calculator. Grades 6 and up now have an online TI calculator alongside Desmos. Desmos is the only online calculator allowed on the state test, but students may bring a physical TI calculator, and this tool helps them practice on it.
- A new platform-wide font. KG Primary Penmanship 2 is a clean, easy-to-read print font chosen to support young readers and students with dyslexia.
Coming Next
We’re already building what’s next. These upcoming releases expand our ELA, Math, and Science offerings:
- Kindergarten ELA, Part 2. The next volume of our Kindergarten series, expanding to fully address the reading and writing standards.
- 6th Grade ELA Comprehensive. A comprehensive, OAS-aligned curriculum for 6th Grade English Language Arts.
- Math Advantage for Grades 2, 3, 4, and 6. Remediation and extension curriculum for four more grades, building on the 5th Grade release.
- 4th and 8th Grade Science. Two new titles that grow our OAS-aligned Science series.
Using State Textbook Funds
During the 2025–26 school year, the State Board of Education approved multiple district waiver requests to use a portion of state textbook funds for Alpha Plus as a supplemental curriculum. Districts cited strong student growth and high levels of mastery in Reading, ELA, and Math.
